If things have seemed a little quiet at OTR lately, it’s only because we’ve been making a massive amount of noise behind the scenes. While the tunes have stayed spinning, the team here at OTR has been working overtime to rebuild, refine, and level up your listening experience.

We believe that great music deserves a great platform, and we’re finally ready to pull back the curtain on what we’ve been building.

What’s Happening Under the Hood?

We haven’t just been “cleaning up”—we’ve completely overhauled the technical DNA of the station. Here is a quick look at what’s changing:

• Server Upgrades: We’ve migrated to a powerful new server infrastructure. This means faster load times, rock-solid stability, and zero interruptions to your favorite shows.

• New Broadcast Software: We’ve officially switched to a state-of-the-art broadcasting suite. This software allows for higher fidelity audio and a much smoother transition between tracks and live segments.

• The Revamped OTR Interface: We are about to roll out a brand-new look for our digital home. It’s cleaner, more intuitive, and packed with features that make it easier to discover new music and interact with the station.

• Weekly Top 10: We are now doing weekly top 10s now, we reset each week, giving fresh & old tunes a chance on the list. This will also give our listeners fresh new tunes to check out.

Our goal has always been to provide the best possible experience for our listeners. These technical shifts aren’t just for us—they are for you. You can expect crisper sound quality, fewer technical glitches, and a dynamic new way to experience Our Town Radio starting this month.
