OURTOWNRADIO LAUNCH UPDATE

This update provides insight into the current status of OurTownRadio’s launch. The station is currently broadcasting music around the clock, featuring both established and emerging OTR artists. Please note that a formal program schedule will be implemented on the launch date. The official launch has just been delayed by a few weeks. This will give us a chance to catch up a bit.

Why isn’t my music playing? We are actively adding new tracks daily and will expedite this process to the best of our ability. We are experiencing unexpectedly high user demand, and we appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the platform. We 


Updates:

We are currently integrating a feature that will provide a direct link to the artist’s preferred purchasing platform when a song is played. This will allow users to access platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, Facebook, the artist’s website, or YouTube. Furthermore, this enhancement will facilitate the tracking of music chart metrics, including song likes, playtime, and future updates.

A significant update is also planned for the way song requests are handled. Furthermore, a new Shout-Outs system will be introduced, replacing the existing one.

The iPhone application is still in development, and we are actively addressing identified bugs. Furthermore, we are implementing the necessary modifications to comply with Apple’s requirements prior to its release. The OTR website is fully compatible with Apple devices.

Additionally, the OTR website has been updated to include weather information. A weekly forecast section has been incorporated, and daily weather updates will be added to the homepage.

Furthermore, we will be implementing various contests, offering artists the opportunity to win gift cards and cash prizes. Similarly, listeners will also have the chance to participate and be rewarded.

BIG FEATURE COMING TO OTR
We are pleased to announce the forthcoming implementation of an artist section, designed to provide a comprehensive platform for musicians. This section will facilitate music uploads and sharing, event postings, sell merchandise, and integration of social media profiles. Further enhancements are planned to augment the functionality of this section.

I sincerely apologize for the delay. Some of you may not be aware that in 2016, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in quadriplegia. Consequently, I have been diligently rebuilding OTR from the ground up over the past 8 months. We do have DJs eagerly awaiting OTR’s launch.
